FITNESS CLASSES:
Classes are 45
to 60 Minutes in duration, unless otherwise noted.
BODY BAR PUMP
Resistance training and conditioning of all major muscle groups.
This class focuses on muscular strength and/or muscular endurance
exercises utilizing a weighted body bar. The following props may
also be utilized: step platform & stability ball. Great for
beginners and the more advanced!
CORE N' MORE
Abdominal training for the upper, middle and lower ab region.
Instructor may utilize weighted balls, dumbbells and stability
balls. Lower back exercises and one other major muscle group may
also be worked. Class will run 20 - 30 minutes.
DEEP STRETCH
Give some TLC back to your body! Class will begin with a 15
minute warm-up and then go into a thorough stretch of each of your
major muscle groups. A relaxing atmosphere will guarantee a
rewarding experience!
DOUBLE STEP
Step Plus with a twist!!! Double Step utilizes two step benches
placed in an "L" pattern or placed side by side, horizontal to
each other. See Step Plus description as well.
JAB ATTACK
Take this class for a total body high-energy workout! Jab
Attack is based on Aerobic Kickboxing, which incorporates floor
aerobics, punching and kicking techniques and a heavy bag. The
class will also include leg and ab work. All fitness levels are
welcome.
JOGGING 101
This class is for you if you are interested in learning about
jogging. Class goals will begin at 1/2 mile and work up to 3+
miles. Basic information concerning jogging tips, must have
tools, nutrition and more will be shared. This session is 6 weeks
long - will run through mid October. Class runs 30
minutes.
MUSCLE PUMP
Resistance training and conditioning of all major muscle groups.
This class focuses on muscular strength and/or muscular endurance
exercises utilizing your own body weight AND one or more of the
following props: step platform, swiss balls, resistance tubing,
dynabands, dumbbells, gym machines/equipment and weighted bars. A
popular workout for all fitness levels.
PILATES
A method to body conditioning using a unique system of stretching
and strengthening exercise. It strengthens and tones muscles,
improves posture, provides flexibility and balance, unites body
and mind and creates a more streamlined shape. Participants
should be in good physical health. Beginners are welcome.
SENIOR FIT
Workout to some of your favorite tunes!! Class will Include a
warm-up; cardio workout; strength training segment (instructor may
use hand weights, weighted bars, stability balls and strength
bands) and a relaxing cool down all within 30 minutes. For
beginners age 50+
STEP PLUS
A great combination of your favorite
Step and Strength Training classes. A combined cardiovascular and
strength training workout focused on maintaining your target heart
rate throughout the class and incorporating resistance training
and conditioning for all major muscle groups. Any one or more of
the following may be incorporated into the class: step, cardio
kickboxing, rope jumping, resistance tubing, dumbbells, stability
balls and weighted bars. All fitness levels welcome.
TARGET TRAINING
Gym 101! Learn some back to the basic strength training moves for
each of your major muscle groups. Each week, we will focus on a
different body part. You will learn effective exercises,
utilizing the gym equipment, dumbbells, body resistance and
stability balls to effectively sculpt and tone your body. This
session is 6 weeks long (September - Mid October). Class runs 30
minutes.
TOTAL BODY CIRCUIT
This class features Strength Training with a cardio blast! Class
may include use of hand weights, body bars, stability balls, gym
machines and cardio equipment such as, elliptical trainers,
treadmills and/or stationary bikes. May also include jogging
outside. Great for beginners!!
TURBO KICK
Do you love Kickboxing? Do you love hip-hop/Jazz dancing? Then
this class is for you! Turbo Kick is the fusion of Kickboxing and
Dance!!!
Bouts of intense intervals with easy to follow combinations make
this the ultimate cardiovascular class.
YOGA
Stimulating for body, mind and spirit. Incorporates breath
awareness with sun salutations and invigorating postures. Class
will end with therapeutic postures and deep relaxation. Great for
all fitness levels.
